Studio Policies

By attending classes/private coaching at Southwest Scene Works, you are agreeing to the following policies:

DOCUMENT SHARING:

Only current, paying SWSW Students are allowed to have access to SWSW Documents. No SWSW Documents should be shared at any time with outside parties. These documents are a benefit and perk of being a current SWSW student.

ABSENTEE & MAKEUP POLICY / MISSING CLASS / NO SHOW:

Any and all tuition payments are non-refundable. If a student misses a class, they can be sent the Zoom recording of the class in order to catch-up. In order to receive the Zoom recording, the student must email wiggins@southwestsceneworks.com 24 hours in advance and request it. It is the students responsibility to do this. If they don’t email 24 hours in advance to request the Zoom recording, they will not be sent it.

The only exception to this policy is “work booked”. When a student books acting work and provides proof of hire (a dated call sheet) they can submit their proof of hire to wiggins@southwestsceneworks.com to receive 1, 30 min. Private Coaching Session with Rebekah Personally via Zoom. At SWSW we want you to be busy working artists. SO this is our way of supporting that!

Private Coaching Cancellation & No-Show Policy

At Southwest Scene Works, every private coaching session is reserved exclusively for you. Because coaching appointments require preparation and prevent another actor from booking that time, the following policies apply:

Scheduling

Private coaching sessions are available by appointment only and must be paid in full before your scheduled session.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled at no additional charge.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

No-Shows

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and do not notify Southwest Scene Works, the session will be considered a No-Show, and the full coaching fee will be forfeited.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session will still end at its originally scheduled time out of respect for the next client. Sessions will not be extended to make up for lost time.

Emergencies

Life happens. Genuine emergencies will always be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Southwest Scene Works.

Booking Professional Work

One of our greatest joys is seeing our students book work.

If you book a professional acting job that conflicts with your coaching appointment, your session may be rescheduled without penalty. Whenever possible, please provide:

  • at least 24 hours' notice, and

  • a copy of your production call sheet or booking confirmation.

Congratulations—we'll be cheering you on!

Website: www.southwestsceneworks.com

or through the contact information listed on the website.

COMMUNICATION:

Office hours are Mon - Fri 8a - 6p. The best way to reach us is via email during those hours at info@southwestsceneworks.com (general inquiries), and wiggins@southwestsceneworks.com (Direct connect to Rebekah Wiggins - owner & operator of SWSW). All emails will be responded to during regular business hours and in the order they were received.

Please refrain from calling, texting or writing through personal social media to Patton or Wiggins. Things tend to get lost in the mix that way, and we don’t want to miss out on connecting with you. If it is business related, then it must be emailed to us in order to guarantee a response. Thank you for your cooperation in this.

WORKING ACTORS:

We are a community of working actors here at Southwest Scene Works. So, we reserve the right to cancel class at our discretion. Please know that any cancelled classes, due to acting work booked, will be rescheduled in a timely manner and within the month that you have purchased your SWSW Class. We will always respond to emails and requests in a timely manner to the best of our ability, with the understanding that our jobs onset do take precedence.
