What is the Chubbuck Acting Technique?
The Chubbuck Acting Technique provides a vast toolbox of inspiration, ideas and exercises to assist the artist in stepping FULLY into the characters skin. It will provide you with the tools to become a successful working actor!
The technique is rooted in Stanislavski, coupled with modern psychoanalytic principles. Students will learn how to make dynamic unique choices that accelerate honest emotional connections. This way of working is ELECTRIC to watch!
CHUBBUCK Acting Classes
The Chubbuck Acting Technique Classes are weekly online classes, via Zoom, where students work with Rebekah once a week. Class run time is 2 hours.
In between classes, students prepare scenes remotely with scene partners and self tape. All self tapes are reviewed by Rebekah and either given written or verbal feedback.
The self tape is the future of our industry and is a HUGE foundation of Southwest Scene Works Chubbuck Classes. Master your self tape, utilizing tools from The Chubbuck Acting Technique!
CHUBBUCK Intensives
The Chubbuck Acting Technique Intensives are weekend workshops where students work with Rebekah for either a single or two day stretch. Students are sent their scene work and scene partner assignment one week prior to the Intensive. Students will perform the “first work” of their scene during this class. Rebekah will work with each student to push them to max potential as a working artist.
Chubbuck Intensives include a SPECIAL GUEST DIRECTOR (Industry Professional : Casting Director, Talent Agent, Director etc.)
Please Note: in order to be considered for the Advanced or Master Chubbuck Acting Classes/Intensives, you must have completed the Basic Chubbuck Acting Technique Classes/Intensives unless it’s stated as a “combined” class on the website.
